Pantone^® Formula Scales

As of January 2023, the Cherlyn Pantone Formula Scales also include the latest PANTONE ink colour recipes with the new PANTONE base inks, - a total of 2.390 Pantone colours along with new Pantone base inks and Extender!

Pantone LLC has, since 2010, added a total of 1.282 new colours.

As all Printers know, mixing a PANTONE colour requires considerable precision. It is easy to make a mistake when you're in a hurry, the Pantone inks themselves are not exactly cheap and neither is your time if you mess up your mix.

Many, if not most of the newer PANTONE colours have 1-2 extra digits (example: 10.24 gr.), which makes the task of mixing a perfectly correct Pantone colour even more challenging for Printers.

For Printers that frequently have to mix smaller amounts of ink - say 2-300 grams it is a very good idea to pick a scale with an accuracy of +/- 0.1 grams = one extra digit.

The best, safest and most comfortable way to go for professional Printers that mix a lot of PANTONE colours in-house is to invest in a robust PANTONE FORMULA SCALE, manufactured by Cherlyn, UK, under a license with Pantone LLC.

The scales come ready with both the original and new 2023 libraries built in.

All you need to do is to enter your PMS number and the scale will tell you how much ink you need of each base ink and count down to zero as you add your inks.

The new PANTONE scales are even smart enough to offer you to increase your mix if you accidently put too much of one base ink and are unable to remove it. In this case the scale recalculates the mix at the push of a button and you add a little more of the other base inks as well to get back on track.

Upgrades with the new PANTONE colours are available for older PANTONE PFS3 scales with LCD displays at 349 Euros, excluding VAT. Shipment cost is included in this price.

Kindly note that Cherlyn PFS scales with red LED displays cannot be upgraded.

Buy hardware upgrade

We are happy to be able to offer the following scales on our unique Pay&Play terms, which in fact simply means that customers pay a monthly fee, - a lease, instead of having to buy the scale.

At any time during the leasing period, the customer is allowed to buy the scale.

The terms of the Pay&Play lease are a minimum of a 48 month lease agreement, unless the customer decides to buy the scale.

3 months are paid in advance on order, and then the monthly lease begins on the 1st of the 4th month as of order or optionally 3 months may be paid quartely in advance.

Hardware upgrades are included during the lease period (new Pantone colours).

Pay&Play terms are subject to a standard financial background check.
